I've got LOADS of food in my tummy
because I've been cooking with Saint Nigella!
Can you tell what it is yet?
Well, I love hummus, Kevin likes hummus, but we don't do well with the shop-bought variety (even if shops here stocked it) because of the raw garlic content (cue a chorus of The Burp Song!). Whilst browsing through one of Her Kitchnificence's volumes, I found a recipe for hummus that looked easy.
It was easy, it contained the "secret ingredient" peanut butter, I made it without the garlic and we're totally hooked! It's the best hummus EVER! Bring on some more carrot sticks......
You know how sometimes you buy a MASSIVE cauliflower because it looks so fab and then it sits in the veg box looking accusingly at you because you've no idea what you're going to make with it. Nigella to the rescue - yet again. I made the Cauliflower Cheese from "Feast". Cauli that still had lots of bite in a sauce of such unctuosity (is that a word?) that I could hardly believe I made it.
The recipe says this serves 8 as a side vegetable for a roast beef lunch.
Although that meant it was stupidly too much for lunch for two, it was "use it or lose it" time for the cauliflower, so I made it anyway.
Stupidly too much for a lunch for two.
Yeah, right!

I've got a fab hummus recipe - I'll email it. You use tahini instead of peanut better. Very yummy :-))
