Now that the weather has improved, the residents of La Folie can get on with some of the outdoor jobs that have been waiting for the rain to stop.

For Stephane, this meant hiring a machine to split the logs so that they can be stacked up and await some really wintry weather.

Together, Hard-Hat and Ear-Defenders made a great team.

For those of a girlier persuasion, the fine weather brought an opportunity to scrump some of the wild cherries in the neighbourhood (technically not scrumping, because the trees don't actually belong to anybody).

My basket of cherries yielded three pots of jam, the basis for a yummy sorbet, and, that most traditional of French cherry dishes, a clafoutis.
