A day off from the extreme sports!
Today we decided to take advantage of the glorious weather and to visit
Puilaurens Castle.
Being a Cathar castle, it is, of course, on top of a hill. That said, I think it's one of the easier castles to reach. You just walk up "les chicanes".
I'm only lagging behind the boys to take the photo!
I love the raggedy crenellations. They look like a mouthful of broken teeth!
Even against the backdrop of such glorious scenery, the castle is magnificent.
As La Folie has a view of the castle, it's only fair that the castle has a view of La Folie.
We're down there somewhere!
