Zing! Went the Strings of my Harp

Any second now, you'll realize why I adjusted the song title...

Yesterday afternoon we scaled the dizzy heights of Puilaurens Castle to listen to a (free!) concert of Celtic harp music.  Somehow the harp looked right at home surrounded by the ruins of the ancient castle (including the "broken teeth").

Even just standing on its table, the harp was an object of some beauty.

The beauty of the instrument was magnified once it was being played.
At one point during the concert a dozen or more swallows were wheeling about in the air high above the castle - nature's perfect illustration of the music.

I imagine bards or minstrels played at the castle in centuries past.
It was an absolute delight to sit in the middle of "our" castle and listen to music that may well have been played there way back in the mists of time.
