Myriam and Yvan (previous owners of Athos) insisted that they wanted to build a "niche" (kennel, but niche sounds much nicer!) for the Hairy Boy. As Myriam is very round awaiting the arrival of a baby, the actual building fell to Yvan. He built the kennel, assembled it to make sure it all fit together properly, took it all to bits again so that it would go in the back of his 4x4, and brought it to La Folie to rebuild it. What a hero!

Having marvelled at the construction of such a magnificent dog-dwelling,
it was all we could do to stop Yvan moving into it himself!
